When just a 10-yr old I moved into a new house in north St. Pete in 1967 and learned there was a bunch of kids my age in the neighborhood. Saturday would find us in front of the tube watching Gordon Solie bring us CWFF. We would watch with intensity and roll over laughing until the commercial break - then it was a free-for-all outside in the front lawn until we figured the commericals were over. Life was good. Really good.

Saturday's in front of the black & white TV adjusting the rabbit ears. Sputnik Monroe Vs. Samsteamboat with Gordon Solie presenting the action. Didn't get any better than that. "From Parts Unknown" to "Good Bye From The Sunshine State"

Subject:Great Memories..So long from the Sunshine State.
I was just a kid when I found the wrestling program that I would look forward to every Saturday. Gordon Solie had the best job in the world to me..He was the greatest comentator to ever grace the airwaves. I really miss those days when he came on and I was sad to hear him say "So long from the Sunshine State"..because I knew it was going to be a week before I could see the thing that I loved so much..Wrestling!!Thanks Mr. Solie
